Floating Market

Floating market is an hour 20 min away from bangkok.. It opens from 8-1pm..they sell fruits, vege.. Its by the canal that can be accessed thru small kayak or pedal boat. Bargain around 40% Last time in Bangkok 10 yrs ago floating market was at Chao Phraya now ppl just go to supermarnrr..Now we go south 100 km. Not far from there you can see the snake farm.. For THB200 snake show..
After that will visit wood crafting..
On the way you use the Ramaya bridge above Chao Phraya river..
Pass by Samutsongkran salt field..they make salt in summer for food.
Latchaburi take boat.. 1 pm they close & resume their day job as farmers..

Chatuchak

25oct- chatuchak

Woke up at7 all " semangat" to go to chatuchak :p by the time finished bfast concierge got us a taxi..
We told him to send us to BTS station as we wanted to go to chatuchak but he bargained with us for him to send us.. For only THB150 we agreed.. On the way he suddenly suggested goin to Thai culture & gem centre.. We told him we were in hurry so can't gone said its ok5-10 mins just see :) after awhile then he explained, if we go buy/ dont buy doesnt matter as he gets 1litre free petrol.. So we agreed to go only 15 mins.
Haha once we arrived we had to wait 15mins as they were just placing the semi precious stones.. Then we had a guide who showed us all the bling bling :)
From there in the next section they had souvenirs, silk, crocodile, cowhide skin items.. Mama mita somehow got stuck in this section :) I managed to buy material silk to make a nice dress pants & pink silk top.. Also bought black sapphire chain.. From 15 mins of initial plan we stayed for an hour.. The taxi guy was very nice & didnt complain

Chao Phraya

Chao Phraya
After asking the concierge & several co confusion, we decided to take a taxi & go direct to the pier @ Shang-Ri La.. There after bargaining we managed to get a private long tail boat for THB 1500 from THB50/person..
The ride was for an hour from Oriental pier til Rama bridge pier..
Along the ride you will be able to see temples, places of worship, kids swimming in the river interesting ride it was & rather bumpy :p
We were given 15mins stop to explore The Dawn Temple.. It was very beautiful & you can see the ceramic work still stuck on the temple. Walked all the way to the top reminded me of Borobudur. The steps were really steep only me & Mita went.. Coming down our legs were shaking :D
Half the day gone, empty stomach all grumbling took the tuktuk crazy experience fitting 4 ppl in one tiny motorcycle, but do not underestimate its capacity as we all somehow managed to squeeze in :) and the driver brougt us to a seafood restaurant nearby which I think he normally brings his customers to.
The food was ok, had Tom Yam soup but of coz, fish steamed, spicy squid & mixed vege. Burp !! Now deciding where to go ..

President Park

Arrived at 9.39 & waited almost 20 mins for luggage to come out.. the hotel airport transfer van came to pick us. It was a 25 min drive to President Park.. My room & mita were still being done as the previous guest checked out at 11 so had to wait 15 mins.
Our room was big.. We were upgraded as all rooms full & none on same floor as parents. They had the deluxe studio.
It has a dining area, family living area & a partition for the bedroom ;)
